Declaration of the outputfile

   

In this part of the initialfile you'll find the two lines:

OUTPUT
MIN=filename.i

This part specifies the name of the file the fitted parameters are written to. As ``filename'' you can

• insert an arbitrary name or
• the name of the initialfile itself. Then the startfile will be updated when NMSRFIT has finished.

Comment: After having finished the fitroutine, NMSRFIT also creates an outputfile which only contains the fitted parameters. This file has the same name as the defined outputfile except the i of the initialfile extension is substituted by an a. This file is useful to create a file of db-format afterwards.

Notice: If you do not specify MIN= then the outputfile has a slightly different shape from the initialfile. It then contains all possible SPECTRUM commands, even the ones that were not used. An example is shown in Complete outputfile....
